Since we don't have vehicles, it could be an idea to get a plugin such as zh horse etc.
Where you can claim let's say 2 horses, or maybe pay a claiming fee to claim the horse etc
ZH for example allows you to teleport your horse to you, send it back to it's home, trade it, lock it so it can't be stolen, even bring them back to life, which could have a cost for example that goes up with every resurrection or just be disabled
And if it does die, have a way to bring it back with insurance at a cost, which could go up per death etc etc

If such a plugin was to be written/implemented, also see if it is possible to transfer ownership... For example if you were to begin breeding/selling horses, or just give one to a friend, for example
